Updated: Mar 31, 2020

Rishon LeZion

Details

Description:

This orange grove was first planted over 50 years ago by the Isaac family. The orange groves used to be extensive but as the need for them decreased, the size of the grove was decreased too. However they have decided to retain this piece of green in the center of Israel and hope to keep it as aplace for enjoyment and to learn about citrus fruit.

During the citrus season, from November until March, the grove is open for your own picking. There are oranges, clementines and grapefruits. Thee is an entrance fee per person above age 2 and you can eat as you go but they weigh the contents of the basket you are given at the end and you pay for what you picked according to weight.

There is a cafe and areas to have a picnic.
