“The people at the desk were helpful in recommending hikes in the crater for the family. My 5 yo loved the visitor’s center, the 2yo doesn’t speak Hebrew so most of it was lost on him. It focuses half on Ilan Ramon and half on the crater itself. Afterwards, we drove down into the crater and did the hike to the Minsara. It is really short – 30 minutes but great for little ones, though there are a lot of steps, so no strollers”
Description:
The updated visitors’ center towers over the landscape in Mitzpe Ramon. The visitors center is a great entrance gate to the Ramon Nature Reserve. In the visitors center there is a spectacular light and sound show about the Negev highlands and it’s many sites.. It is also a tourist information where you can get recommendations for treks, trails, weather and sites of all sorts. In the shop you can purchase maps and information pamphlet.
