Such a wonderful and peaceful place to learn about and hang with rescued farm animals! The stories behind their beautiful residents will bring tears to your eyes and seeing them thrive and living out the rest of their lives in harmony with other animals & humans in such a wonderful place bears such a powerful message! Definitely a MUST visit when you’re in Israel!

Description:

Freedom Farm is an experiential educational center and farm animal sanctuary bringing together people and animals rescued from the food industry. “At my previous school, I had a hard time with the kids, socially. When I come here, it compensates for everything and gives me all the good energy I need to help me get through difficulties. The animals give me unconditional love and I just want to love them back. I realize all of them have been through so much more than I have; there is no need to obsess about all the little things in life. All the pain and suffering they have been through makes everything seem smaller by comparison.” – Gaya, youth volunteer at Freedom Farm What makes us unique? We are a first-of-its-kind educational center and animal sanctuary. Our mission is saving animals from the food industry and creating a space for humans and animals to be together, improving the lives of human beings not less then the animals. We believe that knowledge is power— therefore, we give visitors exposure to animals through programs designed to encourage sensitivity towards all creatures, human and animal alike. We believe that everyone has a right to live in harmony, peace, and to be treated with compassion. Far from the eye is far from the heart, so we offer a unique opportunity for people to meet these special animals when they are healthy and happy, enabling people to open their hearts and minds. Our Farm is located 45 minutes north of Tel Aviv and we welcome everyone to come for an unforgettable experience. We have over half a million followers on social media, 3,000 volunteers, and we are fulfilling a dream and the vision of millions of people around the world. We are part of a global phenomenon that is beginning to emerge. This is the right project, in the right country, at the right time. Israel has the largest percentage of vegans per capita; this demonstrates the people’s readiness for change.
