Yom Haatzmaut 2022 Events!

Yom Haatzmaut starts on Wednesday night 4th May until Thursday 5th May 2022.

Read on for all the fun (and many free) events happening to celebrate!!

4. Concerts and Performances


Most cities have booked various stars to perform. So muchgoing on. This seems to be the most comprehensive list of events in all the cities, or check municipal websites and Facebook pages for more!



Lots going on in Jerusalem this year! Beginning with the annual ceremony at Har Herzl on Wednesday evening, and on to festive Prayer services at the Kotel - Western Wall on Wednesday night at 20:00.




Watch the annual flotilla set off along the coast of Herzliya at 11:00 on Thursday 5th May. Do you have a boat? Don't forget to register in order to join in!

7. Strawberry Picking at Shimony's Strawberry Farm

SOOOOO many delicious strawberries for you to pick! The perfect Yom Haatzmaut activity for all the family!

Price: 30 Shekel per person - eat as much as you want and fill a box!

Location: Waze - קטיף תותים משק שמעוני near Beit Shemesh. Also right next to Park Britannia so you can combine both for a wonderful day out!

Heter Mechira (and the strawberries are not planted in the ground)

9. KatifLi

The New Attraction in the South of Israel!

"Pick me" - Katif Li

Where? Moshav Talmei Yosef - only 45 minutes south of Ashkelon.

Beautiful open space, perfect for spending quality family time!

  • Whether this is your first Yom Haatzmaut in Israel or not...always remember that it is a busy day!

  • If you want to find a BBQ spot you may have to get someone there at 7am to secure a space!

  • For other events that do not require registration - get there early. Even if you have pre-registered, the roads can be busy, so factor that in and expect delays on the roads!

  • Take care, and drink lots of water and have a wonderful Yom Haatzmaut.

  • If you are not celebrating in Israel this year - we hope that you will NEXT year!
