The Old City Sounds Festival in Jerusalem takes place 20-23rd March! This is a FREE event!
The Festival offers us a glimpse into the Old City’s musical traditions and is a pillar of Jerusalem’s cultural and tourism night life. Festival visitors will enjoy a rare offering of musical bands and ensembles scheduled to perform authentic music on central stages and in the streets of the various Old City quarters. Each band and ensemble will play music unique to the quarter and area in which it performs, providing an exciting experience for visitors in the magical atmosphere of the Old City.
In the Armenian Quarter an authentic Armenian celebration will be held. Traditional music will be played in the Muslim Quarter, and the Christian Quarter will be the scene of a spellbinding encounter with venerable liturgical works.
You are invited to stroll through the Old City streets and enjoy a rich and diverse festival of sound.
The Festival will be set up along a circular route; starting from the Jaffa Gate, and weaving through the Armenian, Jewish, Muslim and Christian quarters – ending back at the Jaffa Gate.
