National parks open tomorrow!! Here is how you book!

We have been waiting for this news! The Israel Nature and Parks Authority will open tomorrow, 6.5.2020.

20 national parks and nature reserves will open in accordance with the Ministry of Health guidelines. For information (in Hebrew) about how to register for the sites click here: https://bit.ly/2zcixEq

Hopefully before too long, the rest of the sites will be opened, but for now you can select from the list of parks and if they are full, be patient as soon we will all be able to visit!

How to book:

The full list of open sites can be found here: https://bit.ly/2SBQ2ag

Once you enter with the link, scroll down to select the park you wish to visit. This will take you to the page for that site. On the calendar you select the date and click on the box that says 'Teum Bikur' תיאום ביקור , and select the time you want to book, how many people you are booking for. You can also click to see a video of the site and get more details using the tabs.

Once you make your selection, you will then be taken to a form to complete payment for tickets online, in advance. If you have a membership (matmon) you will only need to book your time - choose the selection that asks if you have membership.

Good to know -

  • Camping options are not open yet.

  • There will not be lifeguards on beaches or swimming areas until allowed by the Ministry of Health. You will be allowed to walk in shallow water where allowed.

  • Shops and services will open under the 'Purple Standard' guidelines and will all have disinfectant wipes and alcohol gel. Each cashier will wear gloves and a mask on his face and stand behind a protective partition to be placed near the cash register. A "wait here" floor sticker will guide applicants where to stand. Payment will only be made on credit cards.

  • Visitors must wear masks in the required places, maintain personal hygiene and frequent hand washing, maintain required distances and not crowd. There will be increased frequency of cleaning by the staff of the site. Visit the Parks website for more details https://bit.ly/2zcixEq
